The hot water bottle looks well made and has a a good stopper that prevents leaks. I'd say it is on par with most hot water bottles you can buy at a pharmacy. The acrylic knit cover is what distinguished this product. It looks attractive and provides the protection of not having too hot a rubber bottle up against bare skin.Taking the cover off is relatively easy, important to allow the cover to dry if it gets wet and to check the integrity of the rubber bottle as natural rubber deteriorates and cracks over time. Putting it back on however takes a bit of patience because the acrylic yarn "grabs" the rubber as you slide it on.
I received this OliviaLiving Hot Water Bag 2 Liter with Knit Cover in June 2024. I received the "Classic Snowflake" design. The item I received matched the Amazon product page pictures and description. One of the images on the product page shows the water bag being run over by a car to indicate it wouldn't burst but I didn't test this out nor do I intend to use the water bag with this much pressure on it. The quality of the water bag is definitely better than a typical water bag I can buy at a local drug store. The bag feels thicker and sturdier than the typical bags I use from local stores. There is printing on the bag itself that indicates it is made of natural rubber. There isn't a hole to hang the bag upside down which I wish was present. This helps to dry a water bag out fully when you are done using it. It looks possible to poke a hole at the bottom part of the bag where there appears to be an area for one towards the bottom center but I didn't try this. When I tested the water bag out it didn't have any leaks even when I put pressure on it.I like the little sweater around the bag not just for how it looks but also functionally in that it helps to prevent a very hot water bag from burning me. The stitching on the cover was good and I didn't notice any defects or hanging threads on the outside of the cover. There were no holes or tears in the cover. The cover quality and construction looked the same as an actual sweater you would buy at a local store. There is a label on the inside of the cover that instructs how to wash it and the label says the cover is made of 100% Acrylic. The label indicates the cover should only be hand washed.Overall I think this is a very well made water bag and it should last me a very long time. I think this water bag is definitely worth considering if you are looking to purchase one.
Hot water bottles, while super helpful and cozy, tend to not be aesthetic. This one is an exception to that rule. Its design is super cute and girly. I think it would make a nice gift for yourself, a teenager or a woman with bad cramps, or even in a gift basket for a cancer patient. The water bottle does a good job of retaining the warmth of the water inside. At the same time, the acrylic sweater lining keeps the bottle from getting too hot against my skin.
